Merlo Training and Research Centre: setting the benchmark for training, research and the safe, responsible operation of machinery and equipment.

The value of training
The Merlo Training and Research Centre (CFRM) was created based on Merlo's firm belief that safety cannot exist without adequate training.
Established with the aim of providing training that is both appropriate and fully compliant with current laws and regulations, the Training and Research Centre expresses Merlo Group’s commitment to achieving international excellence in occupational safety training. For many years it has successfully delivered training courses for operators of telehandlers, agricultural and forestry tractors, aerial work platforms, gantry cranes, overhead travelling cranes and forklifts.
Since 2006, the centre has been ISO 9001 certified, and since 2012, it has been regionally accredited, ensuring the quality of the training provided.
Training courses
The training programmes of the Merlo Training and Research Centre are designed to deliver not only theoretical knowledge but also hands‑on skills that can be applied immediately in the field. They explore in depth the complexity and critical issues involved in managing work equipment and machinery. Furthermore, they provide participants with analytical tools, methods and techniques to approach day‑to‑day operations in an informed and responsible way.
Through an approach that combines regulatory, technical and practical modules, the courses encourage active and interactive participation. Simulations and practical exercises play a key role in the learning process, allowing real‑life situations to be reproduced and the skills acquired to be consolidated. The teaching and training sessions conclude with assessments leading to different levels of qualification, depending on professional requirements.
Training objectives:
- Develop the ability to identify and prevent risks
- Plan and manage operational activities effectively
- Use machinery and equipment safely
