Mike McBroom has joined Merlo America as Parts Manager, bringing more than 20 years of experience in parts operations, inventory management and dealer support to strengthen the company’s growing North American operations.

Mike brings more than two decades of experience in the heavy equipment industry, having held a variety of parts, inventory management and dealer support roles throughout his career. Previously in his career, he spent 12 years with Volvo Construction Equipment, where he held roles in both Parts Technical Support and Customs Compliance. During this time, he supported dealers across North America while developing expertise in parts management, technical troubleshooting and import compliance.
Throughout his career, Mike has held several senior parts leadership positions across both multiple equipment manufacturers and dealers. Having worked closely with construction and agricultural equipment dealers, McBroom has developed a robust understanding of the challenges faced by both dealers and customers. This experience has shaped McBroom’s approach to parts operations, reinforcing the importance of parts availability, responsive and reliable dealer support and delivering timely solutions the help keep customers productive, particularly in critical machine-down situations. As a result, he brings a unique perspective to the role, combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of dealer and customer requirements.

“Our goal is to expand the range of parts we stock in our primary parts distribution warehouse in South Carolina, ensuring we have the capacity to support the growth of Merlo’s versatile product range,” says Mike. “Currently, my focus is on reviewing our inventory profile and identifying opportunities to enhance the available warehouse space, allowing us to strengthen parts availability and provide even greater support for dealers. Ultimately, it’s about ensuring our dealers have quick and reliable access to the parts they need to keep their customers productive.”
