Advanced technologies and compact design make it a champion for the most demanding industrial sectors, ensuring comfort and safety for operators.

San Defendente di Cervasca (CN) – 11 December 2025 - Merlo, leader in the design and manufacture of work vehicles, expands its range of high-capacity telehandlers with the introduction of the P72.10 CS TOP, designed to meet the needs of the most demanding industrial applications.
The new model sets the benchmark in its category, combining high performance, advanced safety, exceptional comfort and cutting-edge technology.
Its distinctive feature is the optimal combination of power, load capacity and operational versatility. It is ideal for working in complex environments, such as material storage centres, road and infrastructure construction sites, landfills, recycling, quarries and mines, industrial construction and renewable energy sectors. But that's not all: the P72.10 CS TOP can also be an excellent ally in the agricultural and agro-industrial world, for example in feed mills, livestock farms, cereal farms and forestry.

Efficiency and manoeuvrability.
This telehandler, equipped with a 100 kW / 136 hp combustion engine capable of delivering constant power and optimal performance, has been designed with hydrostatic transmission with EPD (Eco Power Drive) system for electronic power management and a maximum speed of 40 km/h, thus improving efficiency and manoeuvrability on site. The increased flow hydraulic pump also ensures high performance and boom movement speed, while the technology used in the Flow Sharing distributor optimises hydraulic flow according to load requirements.

Maximum safety for the operator.
Safety has always been a central element in Merlo's design, and the P72.10 CS TOP is no exception. The cab is ISO 3449 FOPS and ISO 3471 ROPS certified, ensuring adequate protection against rollovers and impacts. Furthermore, the integrated protection system constantly monitors critical machine parameters, preventing accidents thanks to advanced features such as automatic parking brake management and hydraulic safety sliders.
The cab of the P72.10 CS TOP is designed to offer high comfort even during long shifts. With a width of 1010 mm and a glass area of 4,3 m², operators enjoy ample space and optimal visibility in all directions. Access to the cab is facilitated by a 180° opening door and strategically positioned steps and handles. The capacitive electronic joystick control allows up to four independent hydraulic movements to be controlled on the implement, ensuring fast and precise operations and reducing operator fatigue.
Other distinctive features include the Merlo hydro-pneumatic suspended cab, which guarantees extraordinary comfort even during long hours of work on rough terrain. In addition, the cab is equipped with an ASCS digital display, which includes a real-time weighing system to monitor the weight of the load being lifted, improving safety and operational efficiency.

Powerful and versatile in all conditions.
The P72.10 CS TOP has a particularly compact chassis, which minimises its footprint without sacrificing robustness. The machine features a lateral levelling system that compensates for ground slopes of up to 8% (approximately 5°), ensuring lateral stability during load lifting.
Last but not least, the handler is equipped with a ZM3 carriage (reinforced compared to ranges with lower load capacities), ideal for mounting heavy attachments and handling heavy loads. The chassis, the most compact in its class, is designed to optimise torsional strength and withstand heavy loads without compromising manoeuvrability.

Merlo's new P72.10 CS TOP Telehandler is the ideal choice for professionals who need reliable performance even in the most difficult working conditions. The Cuneo-based company continues to pursue excellence, offering solutions that enhance safety and operational efficiency on the most complex construction sites.
