Presented at Agritechnica and Ecomondo, the restyling of the Turbo Farmer 65.9 consolidates Merlo's technological leadership with solutions aimed at reducing TCO and maximising maintainability. An evolution designed by Merlo's R&D department, an example of Italian excellence.
San Defendente di Cervasca (CN) - 25 November 2025 - At the recent Agritechnica trade fair in Hanover and Ecomondo in Rimini, Merlo presented the new restyling of the TF65.9, a high-capacity telehandler that symbolises the technological and design excellence of the Cuneo-based company.
This update is not limited to aesthetics, but reflects a profound engineering effort aimed at increasing reliability, maintainability and operational performance and, consequently, optimising management and ownership costs: in short, a restyling dedicated to productivity and durability.
Today's TF65.9 represents the evolution of a model that is already a benchmark in the telehandler segment. Thanks to its high lifting capacity and operational versatility, this work vehicle is suitable for a wide range of applications in the agricultural, livestock and agro-industrial sectors, as well as in logistics and heavy material handling. It is ideal for large farms, biogas plants, cooperatives and contractors that require high performance in loading and handling silage, manure, grain or bulk materials. Its structural robustness and precise controls also make it suitable for use on agricultural sites, composting and biomass plants, where reliability, stability and constant power are required in all working conditions.
The new restyling has focused on structural and functional elements, with the aim of reducing daily running costsand increasing the service life of key components.
Among the main technical improvements are:
- Levelling cylinder with “conical” pin, capable of compensating for wear and eliminating the need for component replacement.
- Larger pins and bushings (+45%) and wider positioning (+6%) for greater structural strength and durability.
- Redesigned hydraulic and electrical layout to facilitate servicing and maintenance. New guards and sheaths protect components from mud, dust and external agents.
- A revised Lubrication system designed to simplify maintenance and extend the service life of the tool carrier carriage's rotating parts.
In terms of performance and comfort, the distribution of forces and the fluidity of movement during rotation of the carriage have also been improved. This is a real advantage for operators, which is particularly evident when using the bucket, facilitating all phases of excavation and handling of inert material.
The new TF65.9 is the result of the work of Merlo's Research and Development Department, internationally recognised as one of the most advanced centres of excellence in the field of agricultural and industrial mechanisation.
With the restyling of the TF65.9, Merlo confirms its ability to anticipate market demands and consolidate its technological leadership in the design of telehandlers. A vision that combines Italian mechanical tradition and industrial innovation.
From design to validation, every update is developed at the site in the province of Cuneo and is designed to increase real productivity in the field, without compromising on safety and quality, a feature that has always distinguished the entrepreneurial style of one of the most highly regarded Italian companies in the world.
