The ring of steel.

One of the most distinctive features of the Merlo handlers is the “steel ring” which fully encompasses the handler frame.
It consists of a solid steel rod of 7 centimetres in diameter that is cold pressed using an exclusive high-tech system. It forms an integral part of the frame itself, and acts as an essential structural element of the same, as well as acting as a highly effective protective element against the risk of knocks and damage.
There have been no lack of imitations...!, but all imitations have tended to go for the aesthetic effect rather than sturdy structural input.

It helps to considerably lower the machine centre of gravity making it much more stable in all working and transfer conditions.
