Portal axles.

All the axles fitted on the Merlo telescopic handlers are designed and manufactured in the company, for exclusive use on its machines.
The axles are known as “portal” type, which means that their longitudinal axis has an upwards bias in relation to the horizontal wheel axis.


Improved ground clearance
These portal axles ensure a greater distance from the ground as compared to that obtained with traditional axles.
