The Italian Civil Defence spreads its wings
Silence is suddenly broken by a deafening roar: it’s the Italian air force display team (“Frecce Tricolori”), whose aircrafts rocket in the blue sky performing breathtaking aerobatics, and leaving green, white, and red trails.
The municipality of Codroipo (UD) couldn’t choose a more spectacular event to animate such an important day as Labour Day, on May 1st. For the occasion the air base in Rivolto, headquarters of the Italian air force display team (“Frecce Tricolori”), was open to the public for the first annual show of the National Acrobatic Air Team.
The Civil Defence detachment headquartered in Friuli Venezia Giulia organized the event with the help of over sixty volunteers, and with an indefinite number of vehicles.
A Panoramic P 72.10 telescopic handler was used full-time for the hard organizational work. This machine allowed the teams of technicians to rapidly set up the reception facilities, as well as the pavilions in which the activities of the Italian Civil Defence would be on exhibition.
