Energy to sell

energy

Electric power is a fundamental resource for modern society. This is why those who produce it play a key role not only in economic terms, but also from a social and environmental perspective.
In Western Canada this important task is the responsibility of Hydro-Québec, a company which produces and distributes electric power to over 7 million users. A rather hard job, if we think that most of the energy produced comes from hydroelectric basins whose production and distribution infrastructure are both built and managed by the company.
Hydro-Québec also works in other fields. Among its future-oriented activities, those related to research on alternative energy sources are particularly relevant .
Hydro-Québec also sets up the low-voltage transformation plants for power distribution to households. In big cities, available spaces are more and more limited, and it is therefore necessary to place transformers inside building, where often they are rather difficult to access. As this situation is becoming more and more widespread, Hydro-Québec recently bought a Merlo telescopic handler with boom side-shift. This is the only system which allows for a millimetre-precise positioning of the handled loads, even on long distances, without moving the machine.
A P 72.10 K has been chosen: with over 7 tons load capacity it can easily lift even the heaviest transformers and speed up the operations carried out by installation technicians.
