The modern Training and Research Centre is operational

The Training and Research Centre of the Merlo Group is a leader in Italy and among leaders in Europe in training courses on the use of machines and equipment.

The Centre has been established based on the belief that safety cannot be ensured without an adequate training. It specializes in the training of operators working with manufacturing machines, since it has been proven that superficiality and failure to obey basic safety rules are the main causes of work accidents during the use of such machines and equipment.
The number of work accidents, some of which are severe, shows a lack of training courses aimed at introducing operators to the use of machines which are considered user-friendly but can be very dangerous if they are operated by unskilled people.
The Training and Research Centre aims at providing adequate training in compliance with those laws and decrees that lay the foundations of a new safety policy for the prevention of work accidents. This cutting-edge centre is a sure sign that the Merlo Group is willing to become an international benchmark in training courses on work safety.
The new organization is well equipped to teach the safe and correct operation of machineries and equipment used to lift both people and material, of machines used in agriculture, in refuse collection and street cleaning, in the maintenance of public parks and gardens, as well as of manufacturing machines in general.
The Centre provides machine operators with training programmes and methods that are set and certified by ISPESL, the Italian Institute for Accident Prevention and Work Safety.
The Centre, which is recognized by IPAF (International Powered Access Federation), has highly skilled trainers, who have a wealth of experience in training, as well as in the operation of machines and in technical support.
